Cordoba, Spain

The second destination on our #SpainRoadTrip was Cordoba, in Andalusia.   Cordoba is about a 4 hour drive south from Madrid and sits on the Guadalquiver River.  It quickly became one of my favorite destinations on this trip.  We stayed in the "La Juderia" area, which is the old quarter with cobblestoned, winding, narrow streets.  Quite charming.  Step out of your door and you will find that you can walk to pretty much everywhere in the city.

Palacio Viana | Cordoba, Spain

This is the Viana Palace, home to the Cordoban courtyards.  Five centuries old, the Viana Palace had 18 different noble families living here.  During these centuries, different renovations and extensions were completed making up the 12 courtyards.  The last noble family lived here in the late 20th century and is now a National Monument of Historical and Artistic Interest and a Historical Artistic Garden.  It is truely gorgeous.  Read more about the Palacio Viana here.
